CROATIA vs ENGLAND
KICK OFF: Wednesday 11th July 2018 | 19: 00 CET
SEMI-FINALS | LUZNIHKI STADIUM, MOSCOW
Croatia’s die-hard mentality can propel them to the World Cup 2018 final ahead of England
Croatia has shown great fighting spirit and resilience, and luck has also been on their side, we saw this against Denmark and Russia respectively. Their main concern will be the loss of key players to injury, the fitness of keeper Keeper Subasic who struggled during the match against Russia the most significant. England has no suspensions nor injury issues. Harry Maguire has been vital for England’s set-pieces, scoring once and assisting another, and Harry Kane remains a full-time threat in front of goal.
England will the fresher of the two sides, Croatia having just completed an exhausting 120 minutes against Russia. If this match goes to another extra time, then most Croatian players will surely be out of gas and England will be in a position to land a hammer blow. England’s pace may still be hard to deal with inside 90 minutes unless Croatia plays with more possession, which can slow down the game to their advantage.
Either way, Croatia has refused to accept defeat, and I’m tipping them to advance again.
