FRANCE vs BELGIUM
KICK OFF: Tuesday 10th July 2018 | 19: 00 CET
SEMI-FINALS | SAINT-PETERSBURG STADIUM
Can France stop Belgium from a Historic Win?
France and Belgium face each other in St. Petersburg for a place in the final. France continues to improve with every game, and they surely fancy their chances of reaching the final in this one. Belgium finally lived up to their ‘golden generation’ billing after eliminating football’s powerhouse, Brazil in the last round and they are now a step away from their first ever World Cup final.
Didier Deschamps will likely stick to the squad that played Uruguay, while Belgium will be without Thomas Meunier. To be fair, Les Bleus have played unconvincingly good sides compared to Belgium’s previous opposition. Argentina was far from the top team we expected in this tournament and Uruguay were defensive and without Edinson Cavani. In contrast, Belgium has been tested by stronger opponents including England and Brazil, yet they’ve triumphed in all their World Cup games.
The Red Devils are fluid and courageous, and they’ll take the battle to France. I don’t think France will keep free-scoring Belgium from finding the net even though Les Bleus will likely score too.
Back Belgium to score more.
