GERMANY vs SWEDEN
KICK OFF: Saturday 23rd June 2018 | 19:00 CET
GROUP F ROUND 2 | FISHT STADIUM
Germany to bounce back in style against Sweden to keep Campaign alive
The defending champions will want to bounce back from a 1-0 upset against Mexico when they play Sweden in the second round. This match is a do or die for Germany since the result here could be a decider.
Sweden come into this encounter with three points, and anything other than a loss will be a good result. Having kept South Korea quiet in their first World Cup match, Sweden will rely on their defensive organisation to keep the Germans away from goal.
- Sweden has kept three clean sheets in all their last three games.
- Germany has conceded in all their last six matches.
- All of Sweden’s last four games have played to under 2.5 goals.
Die Mannschaft will want to avoid a similar fate that befell former champions Spain in 2014, and I see the Swedes having a busy day at the back.
