SWEDEN VS SOUTH KOREA
KICK OFF: 18th June 2018 | 13:00 CET
GROUP F ROUND 1 | NIZHNY NOVGOROD STADIUM
Expect a low-scoring game when Sweden play South Korea
Sweden qualified for the 2018 World Cup in remarkable fashion after seeing off Italy by a 1-0 aggregate win in a two-legged play-off. This appearance comes after missing out in the 2010 and 2014 World Cup competitions.
The Scandinavians are winless in their last four matches without a goal in their previous three games and face struggling South Korea, with similar results. A win for either side will give them hopes of qualification with Germany and Mexico to play.
Sweden’s togetherness has got them this far, and they will have to display this quality if they are to defeat South Korea. Taegeuk Warriors will count on Swansea’s midfielder KI Seung-yueng to create chances and Tottenham’s phenomenal forward Son Heung-min to provide the goals.
