Manchester United vs Valencia
KICK OFF: Tuesday 2nd October 2018 | 21:00 CET
CHAMPIONS LEAGUE | Old Trafford
Group H | Matchday 2
Back Manchester United to Breeze past struggling Valencia
United could not have asked for a better start to the 2018 – 19 Champions League campaign with a 3 – 0 thumping of Young Boys away from home. Next up is Valencia and a chance to entertain the Old Trafford faithful with a victory on home turf.
With three points already in the bag, a win against Valencia will put Man U in a great position before Old Trafford plays host to heavyweights Juventus. Paul Pogba stole the headlines in their first match with two goals and an assist. The Red Devils were not at their free-flowing best against Young Boys, but we can expect an improved display against the Spanish outfit. Alexis Sanchez may start this one to add some creativity up front.
Valencia failed to beat 10-man Juventus, and they face an uphill task getting a result at Old Trafford. Not forgetting United’s last home Champions League match was a loss to Sevilla, a repeat of the same to another Spanish outfit would be unthinkable. Out of form Valencia haven’t won a league game so far this season, failing even to convert a last-minute penalty against Juventus.
I see United comfortably see off Valencia in another one-sided high-scoring game.
