Burnley vs Bournemouth
KICK OFF: Saturday 22nd Sept 2018 | 16:00 CET
PREMIER LEAGUE WK6 | Turf Moor
Can Burnley end their winless run with a result against Bournemouth?
Burnley is yet to taste victory in this Premier League season. Bournemouth was the victor when the sides met last at Turf Moor on their final matchday of the previous campaign. With the weight of European competition lifted, Burnley’s first win of the season is sure to come, the question is, will it be against Bournemouth?
The Clarets have made a poor start into the season, but they still have the quality and ability to turn things around. They are a competitive side, especially when playing at home. Sean Dyche will hope his strikers find their shooting boots, with defender James Tarkowski and Jeff Hendrick having scored Burnley’s only three league goals so far.
Bournemouth’s only loss this season came at Chelsea, and they will be hoping to continue their goal-scoring exploits when they travel to Turf Moor. They appear to have a good balance in the squad, with six different players involved in setting up and scoring goals. The Cherries collectiveness saw them pull comebacks against West Ham and Everton, and so it takes a strong defence to stop them when they are going forward.
A win for the hosts is possible but they must keep the visitors at bay.
