Can Fulham notch up a win against Crystal Palace on their return to the Premier League?
Fulham begins their top-flight campaign against Crystal Palace, and a win will mark a great start for the promoted side. Crystal Palace went through a bad spell at the beginning of last season, but they will up for this one.
The Cottagers crisp and purposeful passing plus fast attacking football can dominate mid-table teams in the Premier League. Furthermore, recruits Michael Seri and Andre Shurrle provide versatility in midfield and the wings, respectively, alongside teenage sensation Ryan Sessegnon. Alexander Mitrovic is another addition to Fulham, and he’ll be a goal threat.
Crystal Palace has parted ways with some former first-team players, but they remain a strong side, with Wilfred Zaha, Andros Townsend and Cristian Benteke in the ranks. If Zaha stays put, his strength and blistering speed on the ball could prove too much for the Fulham defence. Fulham will very likely dominate possession and Zaha will be the man Crystal Palace can count on for counter attacks. Still, the hosts will be out to frustrate the visitors for all three points.
- In all their previous meetings, Fulham has suffered only one loss to Crystal Palace (W5, D2).
