MANCHESTER UNITED VS NEWCASTLE
KICK OFF: Saturday 6th Oct 2018 | 18:30 CET
PREMIER LEAGUE WK8 | OLD TRAFFORD
Will Man U break their poor run of results at home to Bag all three points against Premier League Strugglers Newcastle?
Having failed to secure a win at home in consecutive matches, can it be third time lucky for Manchester United at home to a Newcastle side that is yet to record a win in the Premier League this season.
United must learn that they can’t get away with sitting on a one-goal lead in the Premier League. With the quality they have, they should take control and kill the game off when they are in the ascendency. They did that at Burnley and Watford and got the result, but were shaky against Wolves, got punished and never recovered. Mourinho will demand more from his troops in this one, and Lukaku, in particular, must be sharper in front of goal.
Rafa Benitez’s side is now six games without a win. They will be encouraged by how Wolves contained United. They have previously scored against more ruthless opponents including Manchester City, Chelsea, and Arsenal. In fact, Newcastle games ended 0 – 0 when they were unable to find the net against Cardiff and Crystal Palace. If they continue this trend, they may have a slight chance of picking up points against United.
It’s a big game for Man United. Anything other than a win will be insufficient for the United faithful.
