WEST HAM VS WOLVERHAMPTON
KICK OFF: Saturday 1st sept 2018 | 16: 00 CET
Premier League wk4 | LONDON STADIUM
Hammers still Finding their Feet this Season, but have they Enough to Overcome Wolves?
West Ham are struggling at the start of this new season. An FA Cup meeting in 2016 ended West Ham’s way, but they may find it a challenge to see off Wolves in this encounter.
West Ham went from a one-goal lead to a first home defeat to the Cherries and Pellegrini was quick to claim the lack of trust existing among his players. They must have learned that trying to defend a single goal isn’t a good idea when battling free-scoring sides. Wolves aren’t short of firepower, and that means West Ham must outscore their opponents if they are to claim a win.
Wolves recorded an unfortunate loss away to Leicester, having put Leicester ahead through an own goal and striking the woodwork three times. If they travel to West Ham with the same spirit, they can cause problems given the Hammers defensive frailties. Club-record signing Adama Traore may start in this one after making an impact against Leicester.
Backing goals at both ends should pay off in this one, and Wolves coming out on top in a goal fest would be no surprise.
Key Match Facts
- West Ham has not scored more than one goal in any of their last four games.
