This classic style 5-reel slot is about a castaway who lives alone on a tropical island. He's after some action by aligning boat's helms, seagulls, turtles, old tuna cans, messages in bottles, lifesavers, supplemented with A, K, Q, J, and 10 cards. This 2006 version is a sequel to "Island” the original game by Igrosoft.

The slot is as straightforward as they come. Just align your symbols, and you'll be on your way. Get some Island symbols to trigger a bonus game in which the castaway is chasing dolphins while sailing with a small canoe. The fun stops when a big shark appears, meaning the bonus round is over.

After each win, you get to decide if you're betting all your earnings on a game of cards. Just try to guess if one of four possible outcomes is higher than the card shown. If you guess correctly, you'll double your earnings. If you tie, nothing will happen. Lose, however, and all your previous gains from that spin are lost. The maximum payout is 5,000 times your bet.

Players Review

Igrosoft’s Island 2 puts you in a place of a castaway with a new best friend –a seagull. You’re trapped, and all they have to do during the day is play slots. Doesn't sound so bad, does it?

This game has an interesting double, or nothing bet gamble feature that, besides being a little clumsy in design to trigger, it is something you have the option to do after every win. You'll have to guess if one of four cards is higher than the one shown. That means: if you see a two you should definitely hit, but if you see an Ace, run away. It's a nice feature.

Sadly, developers of this game didn't think much about the interface. Rules are not presented in a helpful way, and the betting system is not the best. It's confusing, and actually, placing the desired bet may take you a few minutes. The bonus game with the dolphins is automatic. You don't get to choose which way to go and search, which is kind of annoying.

Honestly, I wouldn't expect too much from the Island 2 video slot, but if old-fashioned classic style slots float your boat, you will like this game, by all means, give it a try.
