America’s Card Room Review
America’s Card room or ACR has been up and running since 2001. America’s Card room runs on the winning poker network, which is home to other skins such as Black Chip Poker. This means that the software and bonuses will be slightly different on each skin, however the traffic and player pool is shared and will be the same on all skins.
America’s card room offers poker for players from most states in the United States, including states who not officially legalized online poker. You cannot play on this site if you are located in these following states: Delaware, Louisiana, Kentucky, Maryland, Nevada, New Jersey and Washington.
Deposits and Cash outs
America’s Card room offers a number of different depositing and withdrawing options, including crypto currencies. Some deposit and cash out options will be dependent on which state or country you are located in. Bitcoin is the preferred method of ACR. They do offer options to deposit and cash out via Visa, Mastercard and other online wallets like Skrill. Due to poker’s legality some Visa and Mastercards simply will not work with ACR and will be rejected. Most cash out options will be accompanied with a fee except Bitcoin.
America’s Card Room offers
ACR First Deposit Bonus
Americas Cardroom offers a first deposit bonus of 100% up to $1,000. Like most first deposit bonuses on online poker websites and casinos it will be released in increments as you play and pay rake. ACR’s first deposit bonus will be released in $1 increments. This first deposit bonus is equivalent to 20% in additional rakeback. You will only have 40 days to clear the bonus, which seems fair as other sites only allow 30 days.
27% Rakeback or Elite Program
There are two forms of rakeback you can sign up for. Straight up 27% rakeback or the elite program. I’ll make it really easy for you, if you don’t climb up all the way to at least the general rank, which is the second highest attainable rank, the straight up 27% rakeback is more money in your wallet.
You will need to pay around $18,500 in rake in 1 calendar year to reach the general status, which only at that point will offer more than 27%.
Long story short, unless you’re 100% sure you are going to smash in the volume on just this site for a whole year, choose the 27%. You can always switch if you love the site and feel you can commit to raking $18.5K+ in 1 year.
ACR came under massive fire in 2018. Poker professional and youtuber Joe Ingram made some compelling videos of some of the shady behavior that players had witnessed on ACR. There were a lot of accounts botting and collusion that went undetected for a while. It wasn’t until ACR received pressure from the poker community and was forced to look more into it. Two Plus Two, which is the biggest poker forums in the world has removed any advertising or affiliate to this network.
It seems ACR has cleared up most of these issues up and is back to business as usual. The problem a lot of players have these days are poker sites they can trust. Any site poker players seem to find untrustworthy can do some interesting things to the games on that site. If lots of professionals deem a site untrustworthy or unsafe to play on, they will play on another site. This then leaves the site more open and fishier for more daring professionals or those who are willing to give a site another chance.

Cons of ACR
Because of the controversy in the past it can never be fully known how vigilante ACR is now being in regards to detecting bots and collusion.
You are not able to officially play on this site from certain states.
Sites that have big bonuses and rakeback tend to attract regs looking to put in volume and this site is home to a lot of regulars.
Initially, it catered to American poker players and then ventured out to the rest of the world. Their software is excellent and has been updated continuously over the years. They offer a 100% bonus up to $1,000 for your first deposit and have many promotions going on throughout the year in the form of bonuses and tournaments. They also offer a unique Texas Hold'Em game called Six Plus Hold'Em. They are offering a 200% deposit bonus if you deposit with a cryptocurrency for a limited time.
There has been some recent controversy with this poker site, specifically, the shady players that they have been registering on the site. They are currently handling this issue.
You will need to weigh out the pros and cons and see if this is a right fit for you. Their software is free to download and you can have a look at the games first before sitting down. ACR’s customer support involving inquires and cash outs has been very good in comparison to other poker sites should you have any trouble or more specific questions that you need answered.
